1. About Steward
Steward is a free personal finance planning tool that helps you organise your money, track your spending, and work towards your financial goals. Steward is not a regulated financial adviser and is not authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) to provide financial advice.
2. No Financial Advice
The information and recommendations provided by Steward (including AI-generated plans, product suggestions, and conversational guidance) do not constitute personalised financial advice. You are solely responsible for your own financial decisions. We strongly recommend seeking professional financial advice for major financial decisions such as investing, pensions, mortgages, or significant debt management.
3. No Guarantee of Outcomes
Steward provides estimates, projections, and suggestions based on the information you provide. We do not guarantee any specific financial outcome. Actual results may vary based on your actions, market conditions, and other factors outside our control.
4. Product Recommendations & Affiliate Links
Steward recommends UK financial products (savings accounts, ISAs, investment platforms, etc.) that we believe may be relevant to your situation. These recommendations are not personalised financial advice. We only recommend products we believe could genuinely help you.
Some product recommendations may include affiliate links. This means we may earn a commission if you sign up through our link, at no extra cost to you. Affiliate relationships do not influence our recommendations — we always prioritise what we believe is best for you.
Always do your own research before making financial decisions. The value of investments can go down as well as up. Your capital is at risk when investing.
5. Your Responsibilities
- You must be at least 18 years old to use Steward
- You are responsible for providing accurate financial information
- You are responsible for your own financial decisions
- You must keep your passcode and login credentials secure
- You must not use Steward for any illegal or fraudulent purposes
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to misuse Steward, including but not limited to: attempting to access other users' data, reverse-engineering the service, using automated tools to scrape data, or using the AI chat for anything other than legitimate personal finance queries.
7. Account Termination
You may delete your account at any time through the app. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. Upon account deletion, all your personal data will be permanently removed within 30 days.
8. Limitation of Liability
Steward is provided “as is” without warranty. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any financial losses, missed opportunities, or damages arising from your use of Steward or reliance on its recommendations. This does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer under UK law.
9. Intellectual Property
All content, design, and technology in Steward is owned by us or our licensors. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the Steward service without our written permission. Your financial data remains yours and you can export or delete it at any time.
10. Dispute Resolution
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. We encourage you to contact us at support@steward.money to resolve any issues before pursuing legal action.
11. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or in-app notification. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
